Tiffany Avery was raised in Seaside, California and is a Seaside High Alumni. Tiffany is a graduate of The Fashion institute of Design and Merchandising, where she received an Associate’s degree in Visual Communications. Tiffany is a graduate of CSU Monterey Bay where she received a Bachelor’s degree with distinction in Visual and Public Art. Tiffany continued her post-graduate education at CSU Monterey Bay, receiving a Master’s degree in social work. Tiffany worked in CSU Monterey Bay’s Student Activities and Leadership Development department for 10 years. While serving two terms as an AmeriCorps member, Tiffany worked with CSU Monterey Bay’s Service Learning Department to develop a student community service center. Tiffany has over 10 years of experience working and collaborating with non-profit organizations in Monterey County. Tiffany has been recognized and awarded by the California State Legislator and the U.S. Federal Government for her community service efforts. For the last 5 years, Tiffany has worked in Monterey County, providing advocacy and serving marginalized groups, specifically individuals and families experiencing homelessness, struggling with substance use, and living with mental illness. Tiffany is the current Intake/Authorization Coordinator for Door To Hope. Tiffany is registered with the California Board of Behavioral Science and has earned the required clinical hours to pursue licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.
